Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise and his actress wife Katie Holmes have reached a "private" divorce settlement just two weeks after the actress filed for it.
According to a statement from Katie's lawyer, ""The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life,"
He added, “We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution.”
Holmes filed for sole custody of Suri and that is the key issue in the private talks.
While no details of their agreement are public, the former couple said "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests,” the exes said in a joint statement. “We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents.”
Asked about the terms of the settlement, Cruise's publicist Amanda Lundberg reiterated: "They are private."
Sources tell the magazine that Suri, 6, will likely stay with her mother in New York. Tom will get generous visitation rights.
The Miami Heat are now the 2012 World Champions. With LeBron James leading the way, the heat grabbed their 2nd Larry O'Brien Trophy. James also got his finals MVP award with a tripple double performance (26 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists). Dwyane Wade finished with 20 points while Chris Bosh has 24. The Miami Heat role players also did an outstanding job. Mario Chalmers has a couple of 3's and Shane Battier has 4 field goals and 3 of these are from behind the arc. But the most suprising performance was from the bench. Mike Miller made an amazing 7 three point shots that helps the Heat strengthen their lead. The final score is 106-121.
The NBA said that the Philippines top the social world (next to United States and China) in following the NBA on Facebook and Twitter. One of the reason is because of Miami Heat's head coach, Erik Spoelstra. Spoelstra has blood line from the Philippines (his mother is a Filipina).
''They root for us,'' Spoelstra said. ''When we're over there during the summer, they are. It's great to see. I had my family over here last night from the Philippines. The one thing about the Philippines is they are rabid basketball fanatics, and it's been that way for a while. They've been following us now for the last couple years, as well.''
Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., popularly known as Dolphy the “Philippine King of Comedy” who will turn 85 on July 25. He was again admitted to Makati Medical Center last Saturday, June 9.
Epi Quizon said that “My dad was rushed in the hospital due to pneumonia. This made him weak because of his chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). His vitals sign is stable, responding to treatment and still under close observation. On behalf of our family, Thank you for your love and prayers."
Location: Caramoan, Philippines
Followers of Survivor already know by now that the next season (25th) will be held in the Philippines. The exact location? The splendid Caramoan in Camarines Sur, Luzon. Very little is known about the place. Isolated from the rest of Camarines Sur, it's no surprise why Philippine's Secret Paradise remains unexploited from commercial tourism.
Perhaps the reason why the producers of Survivor chose it is because of the varied ocean adventures for kayakers, snorkling and scuba diving opportunities to see the diverse marine life, trekking and searching for enigmatic lagoons, rock climbing in the limestone cliffs and exploring the place's cave system.
